November Events Highlight

Ah Gong Ah Ma 2.0

On 1st November 2025, our volunteers spent a meaningful afternoon bonding with the elderly through hands-on and heartwarming activities. The programme aimed to nurture empathy, encourage open-minded engagement with different communities, and provide students with a deeper understanding of the needs of the older generation. The day featured two main activities. During the Art & Crafts session, participants and the elderly worked in small groups to create twisting-stick crafts such as flowers and tomatoes. Volunteers guided the steps, making it a fun and interactive bonding experience. In the Square Dance session, lively music filled the room as volunteers demonstrated simple dance steps while others supported the elderly individually, allowing everyone, whether sitting or standing, to participate comfortably. This heartwarming event provided students with a hands-on opportunity to engage with the community beyond NTU while fostering appreciation, kindness, and meaningful intergenerational relationships.
